Costa Almeria – Luxury Urbanisation el Faro

Located in the southeast corner of Spain, the Almeria Province boasts the highest number of hours of sunshine and lowest rainfall in Europe. Those who travel to the Almeria coast to enjoy the 3,000 hours of sunshine each year also get to indulge in unspoilt beauty found the length of the coastline. Tourists and residents alike can enjoy the magnificent beaches, spectacular caves, lively fishing villages and stunning countryside. The coastline is sheltered by the dramatic Sierra Almagera Mountain range.

Tucked away in the Northern part of the coast you will find the Luxury Ubanisation El Faro close to the villages of Vera Playa and Garrucha.

Vera Playa, home to 8km of white sandy blue flag beaches, spans the area between Puerto Rey and Villaricos. Interestingly, it is said to be the place where Hannibal’s elephants landed in Roman times. In recent years the area has been regenerated and now offers restaurants, bars, shops and a choice of activities.

Garrucha is a beautiful and lively fishing town that still retains much of its original charm. Famous for its locally fished red prawns, seafood is a speciality. Indeed Garrucha’s primary economic driver is fishing and its large port is ideal for both commercial and leisure pursuits. One of the pleasures of Garrucha is taking a lovely evening stroll around the bay or through the palm tree lined promenade framed by white marble balustrades that spans the length of the town.

Key Unique, Individual Properties

Marbella, formerly a small Andalusian fishing village is Southern Spain’s answer to St. Tropez. A town of two sides, it offers visitors the best of both world’s. The old part of town retains the atmosphere of a small village where a maze of cobbled streets house individual boutique shops, art galleries, tapas bars and traditional bars. The well-known ‘Orange Square’ or ‘La Plaza do los Naranjos’ houses magnificent baroque buildings. Shops, restaurants and bars are plentiful in the new part of town. This section has received considerable investment in recent years and is one of the best places in the world to sit back and watch the world go by. The Marbella promenade and the harbour and yacht life of Puerto Banus are infamous in the area.

The Marbella coastline, home to golden sandy beaches, stretches some 26km from Guadalalmina to Cabopino. These beaches benefit from one of the true microclimates in Europe that the region enjoys, guaranteeing an average of 270 days sunshine a year with warm, sunny winters and pleasant summer temperatures.

For a change from the beach visitors can relax and enjoy one, or both, of the two famous parks in the town, The Park of Alameda and Parque de la Constitucion. Many outdoor concerts and performances are held during the summer months in the amphitheatre of the Parque de la Constitucion.
